🛡️Background checks
We encourage every caregiver to get checked through a third-party service. When we receive a clean result we add the Background Checked badge, which also ranks that caregiver higher in your results. Caregivers can’t add the badge themselves. Most caregivers are not checked — the badge is the only way to tell, and we still recommend running your own check before you hire.
🔒Private by default
Your contact details stay hidden until you choose to reach out. You’re always in control of who can contact you.
⭐Checked reviews
Reviews come from account holders who told us they connected with that caregiver, and a person here reads every one before it appears. They’re never anonymous or purchased.
Staying safe when you hire
You’re the employer of any caregiver you hire. A few habits go a long way:
✓Ask for photo ID and check it matches the listing. We don’t verify anyone’s identity — anyone can create a listing with an email address.
✓Run your own background check at the time of hire — we’ll refer trusted resources.
✓Ask for references and follow up on them before your first session.
✓Meet first in a public place or with someone you trust present.
✓Never send money up front. All pay is arranged directly — PCAmatch never handles payments.
✓Trust your instincts. If something feels off, walk away and let us know.
